Sunrisers Hyderabad have posted a mammoth total of 231 runs on the loss of 2 wickets courtesy twin centuries by openers David Warner and Johnny Bairstow making a record partnership of 185 runs for the first wicket breaking the record of Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn's 184 runs against Gujarat Lions. This is also the second instance in IPL that two batsmen have scored hundreds in the same innings. The first was when Kohli and AB de Villiers scored twin hundreds against Gujarat Lions.
RCB bowling was made look hapless by the opening pair of an Australian and an Englishman hitting them all across the park. Another highlight of the innings was when Bairstow hugged Warner that too in a year when Ashes will be taking place.
Mohammad Siraj was the most economical bowler for RCB but he also leaked runs like anything.
The RCB openers are out in the middle and will look to chase down the target.
