Actor Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas welcomed a baby via surrogacy on Friday. The duo made the official announcement on their Instagram handle.

Sharing the news, Priyanka wrote "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."
As soon as they shared the news, wishes poured in. Priyanka's Jee Le Zaraa co-star Katrina Kaif wrote: "Congratsssssssssss."   Neha Dhupia wrote: "Congratulations Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas ... best news ever." Kal Penn wrote: "Congratulations! Kalpen uncle is ready to babysit." 

But, the two didn’t reveal the gender of their child. Since then, fans are eager to know more about their child.

As per reports of US Weekly, the couple has welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy.



Their baby girl is somewhat weak due to premature delivery. The couple's child was born at a hospital in Southern California on the outskirts of Las Vegas. The baby girl has been born 12-weeks before the date given by the doctor. Till the time child gets healthy, Priyanka and Nick will keep her in hospital.
