Is Run Rabbit Run a true story?

The answer is no. Run Rabbit Run is a psychological horror & thriller starring Sarah Snook who plays the character of Sarah a fertility doctor with practical beliefs about life and death. However, Sarah's so-called practical beliefs jolted when she sees her young daughter, Mia displaying disturbing behavior and getting obsessed with Sarah’s dead sister. As the trailer suggests, Sarah's daughter Mia starts acting like her mother's dead sister who got lost at the age of 7. Interestingly, Sarah's daughter Mia was also 7 years old. Notably, Run Rabit Run was premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in January and following that it has been released on Netflix.

The reason why fans are querying whether Run Rabbit Run is a true story or not is because Australian writer Hannah Kent wrote the screenplay her first two novels — Devotion and Burial Rites — were based on true stories. However, Run Rabbit Run is a fictional story with an original plot & screenplay.

For those who are unaware, before Sarah Snook, Elizabeth Moss was set to play the character, however, at the end the day Golden Globe-winning actress got the role. Sarah Snook is also known for her prominent role in HBO’s Succession. Apart from this, she is also known for her roles in films like Predestination, Steve Jobs, and Pieces of a Woman, and television series like Spirited, Black Mirror, Soulmates, and more.
