The Italy flash flood has been called the 'water bomb' by the locals who actually faced the natural disaster.

Multiple locals were quoted by the Italian media who stated that they did not expect a sudden and shocking 'water bomb'. I telefoni non funzionano e il sindaco Alessandro Piccini ha lanciato un appello via social, invitando i cittadini a restare in casa. In alcune zone l'acqua e' arrivata ai primi piani (translated as- There could be some missing people in Cantiano, a town in the Marche with just over 2,000 inhabitants, hit by a very strong storm that transformed the streets into real streams and dragged away cars.)
