ITR Filing and other key tasks deadline closes today, Check here for full details

As the deadline for some major official work ends today a look at 3 tasks that should be done by end of the day to avoid any trouble ahead.

File your Income Tax Return:
If you haven’t filed your ITR yet then it is the last day to file today. For individual and salaried employees, whose audit of account is not required the last date for them to file ITR for the financial year 2021-22 is July 31st, 2022 that is today. 

After today the filing of ITR will incur additional charges in terms of the late filing fees. If the taxpayer’s income is up to 5 Lakh or less, he/she will have to pay Rs 1000 in the form of a late fee. Whereas the same fine amount will increase to Rs 5000 for income rising above Rs 5 Lakh.

KYC for KISAN Samman Nidhi:
The farmers availing benefit through the PM KISAN scheme needs to get their KYC updated by end of the day today. Failing to this the farmers will not be receiving the next installment of the 3-part annual financial assistance.
 
Apart from filing it online, the farmers can get their KYC updated through the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC). For filing it online the beneficiary needs an Aadhar Card linked with their mobile number, after the completion of the partial process an OTP will be sent to the concerned person’s registered mobile number. Entering which in the designated column will complete the process of filing KYC. 

Registration for ‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana:’
The damage that is caused to the crops due to natural disasters, makes things too problematic for the farmers. In that case, the government-supported crop insurance scheme provides a big relief. By registering with this scheme the farmers get a huge cover from the financial loss. The last date to register with this scheme is July 31st, 2022.

For this scheme as well the registration can be done through both online and offline modes. In case of registering offline the farmers can visit the nearest bank branch, Common Service Centre, contact the registered insurance company, or can visit http://pmfby.gov.in in case of online registration.
