Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith were among the most loved & followed couples in Hollywood. Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been married for over 2 decades and as a result, many believe that the famous Hollywood couple are a perfect example of 'Made For Each Other'. In fact, Will Smith lost his calm after comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars mocked Jada's baldness. In fact, Will slapped Chris Rock on live television and even used the F-word warning him not to use his wife's name. 

Although this resulted in the ban of Will Smith from attending the Academy Awards, a section of fans on social media lauded the Hollywood actor for supporting his wife. However, the entire world went into shock after it was reported that all is not well between Will and Jada. Although the duo are not divorced, they have indeed broken up. Before talking about the breakup reason, Jada Pinkett Smith recently opened up about her relationship with Will Smith and revealed that she has been living away from her husband for the past 7 years.  Not only this, Jada also explained why she did not divorce Will despite their breakup and living separately. "I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce,” she explained adding, "We will work through whatever. And I just haven’t been able to break that promise."

Talking about Jada Pinkett Smith-Will Smith breakup, reports suggest that the duo's relationship was jolted after Jada's alleged romantic relationship with August Alsina. As per reports, in July 2020, singer August Alsina revealed that he had been romantically involved with Pinkett Smith, something she confirmed during an episode with her husband on "Red Table Talk."

"I got into an entanglement with August," Pinkett Smith had confessed at the time, explaining then that the superstar couple "were going through a very difficult time" when it occurred.

Jada further said in the interview, "I think by the time we got to 2016, we we both just exhausted with trying..I think we were both kind of still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."

For the unversed, Jada and Will met in the 1990s.  In 1995, Jada and Will went public with their relationship and in December 1997, thy got married in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Following their marriage, Will and Jada expanded their family, welcoming their son Jaden Smith in July 1998 and their daughter Willow Smith in October 2000.  Will also has a son named Trey Smith with ex-wife Sheree Zampino, whom Jada has affectionately referred to as her 'bonus son.'
