In a shocking development that jolted the South movie industry, actor Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, who played Allu Arjun's friend Kesava in Pushpa, was arrested. Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari's arrest took place in Hyderabad on Wednesday in abetment to suicide case of a 34-year-old female junior artist actress. Apart from abetment to suicide, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari has also been charged with blackmailing. Notably, reports suggest that Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari had threatened to leak the south actress' private pics with a man and hence he was blackmailing the woman junior artist. Why was Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari arrested?
Pushpa actor Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari allegedly took private pics of the woman junior artist with another man and started to threaten her to leak it on social media. As a result, the junior artist hanged herself at her residence in Hyderabad on November 29.
Initial reports suggest that the victim used to work as an actress in short films. Initially, a case was registered under the charges of suicide. However, after investigation, the police found evidence that reportedly proved abetment to suicide and Jagdish's involvement in it.
Now, the question arises why did Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari take such a criminal step or how did Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari get private pics of the woman junior artist? Below is how things unfolded-
As per reports, Jagadeesh and the female junior artist became friends when she started working on film and began a live-in relationship. However, later they broke up and the woman started dating another junior artist. As a result, Jagadeesh Prathap, who allegedly captured the pictures and videos of her intimate moments with her new partner, was reportedly harassing her and was also blackmailing her for several months.
Not only this, reports suggest that the woman's father approached the police, as he was blackmailing and harassing her. Her father claimed that his daughter resorted to the extreme step because of the harassment she faced from the Pushpa fame actor Kesava.
As a result, Jagadeesh was arrested on December 6. The Pushpa fame actor has been booked under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
