Jagroop Singh Sekhwan on Tuesday met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant just a day after just a day after the Aam Aadmi Party rewarded him with the post of party's State General Secretary. Post meeting Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Jagroop Singh Sekhwan took charge as AAP's State General Secretary. In Jagroop Singh Sekhwan's meeting with Punjab CM, Jalandhar MP Sushil Rinku and industrialist Amit Bajaj were also present.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday appointed Jagroop Singh Sekhwan as State General Secretary. It is said that Jagroop Singh Sekhwan's appointment as State General Secretary came as a reward by AAP due to proactive work during the Jalandhar Byelection 2023. Jagroop Singh Sekhwan was proactive during the AAP's campaigning in the State, and due to this, the party witnessed a historic win in the Jalandhar by-election. Not only this, but Jagroop Singh Sekhwan's implementation of strategy on the ground made by the party's high command was fruitful for the party and it resulted in AAP breaking the Congress' stronghold of Jalandhar constituency.
