BullDozer Reached Jahangirpuri At 10 O'clock

At 10 in the morning, the Municipal Corporation reached Jahangirpuri with a bulldozer. The bulldozer of the corporation continued for two and a half hours. 400 people were deployed to maintain peace and order in the area.

During the procession on the day of Hanuman Jayanti, a situation of riots had arisen in this area. However, the police intervened and saved the situation from deteriorating.

Hundreds Of Officers Surrounded The Area

Hundreds of officers with bulldozers surrounded the entire area. Senior police officer Deependra Pathak told that they have been deployed for security.

Meanwhile, a petitioner reached the Supreme Court. He cited Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Said that communal riots had erupted in these states after the anti-encroachment drive against the people of a particular sect.

Petition Filed In Supreme Court

The petitioner said that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi did not even alert the people before vandalizing. Hearing a petition filed against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled municipal corporation, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice NV Raman stayed the corporation's action.

The court said that it will hear the matter tomorrow i.e. on Thursday (21 April 2022). Despite this order of the court, the bulldozer did not stop.

BullDozer Run On Illegal Construction

Before the bulldozer could move on to the mosque in Jahangirpuri, many shops were broken. Officials said that till now the court order has not come to them.

Till he gets a court order, he will continue to take action against the 'illegal encroachment'. Meanwhile, gradually the tension started increasing.

Amidst rising tension, a wall of the mosque was demolished. Several shops adjacent to it were also demolished.

Brinda Karat Blocked The Way Of The BullDozer

At around noon in the day, Brinda Karat, leader of the Communist Party of India-Marxist, reached Jahangirpuri with a copy of the court's order. She urged the police and the officials of the corporation to stop this sabotage drive immediately.

A video has gone viral, in which it is seen that Brinda Karat has stood in front of a bulldozer of the corporation so that she cannot take further sabotage action.

Meanwhile, the petitioner told the Supreme Court that the Corporation has not stopped its action despite the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

Appeal Of The Petitioner To The Chief Justice

The petitioner's counsel Dushyant Dave urged Chief Justice NV Raman to order the Secretary-General to provide a copy of the order to the Municipal Corporation and stop the burning of bulldozers in Jahangirpuri.

The lawyer said that if action is not taken now, it will be too late. On this, the Chief Justice said- OK, get the corporation informed as soon as possible through the Secretary-General or Registrar General of the Supreme Court.

And The Corporation's BullDozer Stopped

The Chief Justice asked the court staff to take the phone numbers of NDMC Mayor and Police Commissioner from lawyer Dushyant Dave and inform them about the court's order.

Ultimately, after getting the order of the Supreme Court, the bulldozer of the corporation stopped.
