Congress youth leader Sarvotam Singh a.k.a Lucky Sandhu was temporarily released from jail in order to go undergo a medical check-up. This allowed him to attend a wedding in Ludhiana where he was recorded dancing merrily in the processions. The video is now going viral.
Lucky Sandhu is a prominent Congress youth leader who is currently serving time in Ludhiana’s jail for multiple offenses. He reportedly received permission to leave on a medical exception. He was taken to PGI Chandigarh in order to examined but the surfacing of the video has brought the legitimacy of his medical leave into question.
The police have initiated an inquiry against ASI Kuldeep Singh and Mangal Singh who were responsible for overseeing Sandhu’s release. The inquiry aims to uncover any discrepencies in the official procedure or whether there was any misconduct from the police officers.
Sandhu was arrested for kidnapping along with his brother Maninder Sandhu in September. They reportedly kidnapped the complainant and threatened him at gunpoint in their restaurant ‘Bharaavan da dhaba’ in Sahnewal.
