Rajnikanth's movie Jailer was released in theaters on August 10 and it went on to become a huge hit. Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer is aiming to reach the Rs 600-crore mark globally as it is still running successfully in multiple theaters in India and abroad. Jailer has been grabbing headlines ever since it was released. However, in the past few days, it came into prominence when Sun Pictures on Thursday shared a post where it showed producer Kalanithi Maran gifting Rajinikanth a share from the profits, along with a brand new BMW X7. Notably, Rajnikanth also grabbed the headline when he visited UP CM Yogi Adityanath and organized a special screening for him at his residence in Uttar Pradesh. Jailer OTT release date
On Saturday, Amazon Prime Video in a statement announced that Nelson Dilipkumar's crime drama film, starring Rajinikanth titled Jailer will stream on the platform from September 7. Interestingly, the announcement added that Jailer will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Many fans point out the fact that Jailer will be the first Sun Pictures movie that will be released on Amazon Prime Video.
Talking about Jailer, the movie is Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. The film has also been written by Nelson. Jailer features a starcast including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Master Ritvik in pivotal roles. The film also has special cameos from Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff.

Talking about Jailer's box office collection, the crime drama has seen massive success in India. As per Sacnilk.com, during its first week in theatres, Jailer earned Rs 235.85 crore, in its second week it earned Rs 62.95 crore and in its third week, the film collected Rs 29.43 crore. On Friday, day 23, the film earned Rs 1.60 crore. Since its release in theatres last month, Jailer has collected Rs 329.83 crore in India.
