Delhi: Jaish-e-Mohammed militant arrested

Sajjad Khan was assigned with the task of establishing sleeper cells in the National Capital, Delhi

New Delhi: Official sources on Friday said that a Jaish-e-Mohammed militant has been arrested from Lajpat Rai area of the National Capital. The militant was arrested late on Thursday night by special cell of Delhi police.

The militant, who has been identified as Sajjad Khan (27), hails from Pulwama. Sajjad is also wanted in a National Investigation Agency case and also under the Unlawful activities Prevention Act.

Sajjad reportedly had relations with Muddasir Khan who was the mastermind of the Pulwama attack. Muddasir was killed in an encounter with security forces in J&K recently. Sajjad was assigned with the task of establishing sleeper cells in Delhi.

Earlier in January, Delhi police was successful in nabbing two JeM terrorists, planning terror attacks in the National Capital on the occasion of Republic Day.
