Despite India's warning of consequences, Pakistan on Thursday, after 8:30 pm, launched suicide drones on military installations and civilian areas of Punjab, Jammu, and Rajasthan. According to reports, Pakistani drones attempted to strike the Jammu Airport and the Pathankot Air Force Station. In a swift response, India’s advanced S-400 air defense system successfully intercepted and neutralized all incoming drones, preventing any reported damage or casualties at the targeted locations.
As a precautionary measure, Jalandhar and Amritsar underwent a complete blackout. Multiple videos are circulating on social media with the claim that Pakistani drones were seen in the sky near Suranussi, Jalandhar. A few other videos also claimed that drones were seen in the sky near NIT Jalandhar. However, True Scoop cannot verify the claims.
DPRO Jalandhar fired a tweet that reads, "As a precautionary measure, a blackout has been implemented for a short time. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has appealed to the residents of #Jalandhar to comply with the blackout."
Jalandhar DC's official statement reads, "You are aware of whats going on. But this is the exact situation what we practised for in last 3 days. Our armed forces is taking care of most of things and they have neutralised most of the drones. We all should support them and help in adhering to the protocol of black out as well as prevention of fake news/videos/msgs that can spread panic amongst common people. Civilian population is not being targeted as per official information. So plz dont worry and be calm."
