Nitin Kohli, Aam Aadmi Party’s Jalandhar Central Halka Incharge, has issued a detailed statement regarding the ongoing development at Burlton Park, assuring citizens that the project is being closely monitored and is moving as per schedule. He also informed True Scoop that a review meeting has already been scheduled for next weekend, which will include the Deputy Commissioner, the Corporation Commissioner, the Mayor, and the builder. The builder is currently out of town and expected to return by July 10.

Below is what Jalandhar Central Halka Incharge said-

"The ongoing work at Burlton Park is something the entire city is well aware of. The project was inaugurated by our Hon’ble Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal, which reflects the significance of this initiative for the people of Jalandhar.

We are actively involved in monitoring the project's progress. I am in regular contact with the builder, and we are also coordinating closely with the respected Deputy Commissioner, the Corporation Commissioner, and the Mayor to ensure everything stays on track."

Review meeting on Burlton Park's development

Nitin Kohli further said, "A review meeting has already been scheduled for next weekend, where all key officials will be present. The builder, who is currently out of town, is expected to return by July 10, and he will also participate in that meeting. During this meeting, we will work together to accelerate the project timeline and aim to complete it ahead of the original deadline."

'Hockey Stadium to be on priority, opening planned next year'

"Our first and foremost priority is the construction of the hockey stadium. We've already decided to begin with that component of the project. The builder has agreed to this plan as well. We aim to host a 6-nation international hockey tournament, and the inauguration of the stadium is being planned for mid-next year, said Nitin Kohli.

"Once the hockey stadium work begins, the rest of the components in the Burlton Park project will also proceed simultaneously. But the hockey stadium will take precedence and be completed first, as it is central to our vision of reviving Jalandhar’s sports culture and putting the city back on the national hockey map," added Nitin Kohli.
