A horrifying accident was reported from Goraya, Jalandhar where a white colored sedan collided with a truck leaving 2 people injured. Reportedly, the incident took place on Ludhiana-Jalandhar National Highway. The truck coming from wrong side hit the car so badly that it got tossed up in the air and landed on the divider. CCTV footage of the accident has also gone viral.
The CCTV footage that has gone viral shows up car normally moving on the road when a truck comes from wrong side and hits the white-colored sedan. After getting hit by the truck, car overturned various times and then landed on the divider. Post this also the truck driver did not stop but fled from the scene. No casualty was reported during the accident.
Reportedly, the car was being driven by Pawan Kumar, corporator of Talwara Municipal Council under district Hoshiarpur. Retired JE Rakesh Kumar from PSEB of Talwara was also with him in the car at the time of the accident. Both of them got saved and suffered minor injuries due to car being hit, the airbags were opened. The car has suffered significant damages.
ASI Paramjit Singh after getting information about the accident reached the spot. There was a huge traffic jam due to the car which was then removed by calling the JCB. Police official has stated that they have taken hold of the CCTV and it will be thoroughly investigated.
