
In light of birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, the annual Jod Mela is to be celebrated from February 22 to February 25 at Satguru Ravidas Dham Bootan mandi, Nakodar Road in Jalandhar. A large number of devotees and VIPs are expected to participate in this annual Jodh Mela and Shobha Yatra. Keeping this in mind, Commissionerate Jalandhar has designated places for traffic diversions and parking of vehicles for the convenience of the general public so that traffic can operate smoothly during this time -
On February 23, the grand Shobha Yatra within Jalandhar city starting from Satguru Ravidas Dham Bootan mandi will travel via Guru Ravidas Chowk - Nakodar Chowk - Jyoti Chowk - PNB Chowk - Milap Chowk - Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk - Adda Hoshiarpur - Mai Hiran Gol Patol Chowk - Sabji Mandi Chowk - Basti Adda Chowk - Jyoti Chowk - Nakodar Chowk -and end at Satguru Ravidas Dham Bootan Mandi.

Note: As per the mentioned dates till the end of Annual Jod Mela, all vehicles/buses coming and going from Jalandhar city to Nakodar-Shahkot will use the Sutlej Chowk-Samara Chowk-Cool Road-Traffic Signal Lights Urban Estate Phase-2-CT Institute via Pratappur - Nakodar route. Wadala Chowk via Guru Ravidas Chonk - Nakodar Chonk Road will be completely closed for all types of vehicles.

Traffic will be diverted through these routes:
Note: All the buses/heavy vehicles travelling to and from Jalandhar and Kapurthala from 8 AM to 10 PM on February 23, will take PAP Chonk via Kartarpur- instead of Nakodar Chonk-Kapurthala Chonk via Basti Bawa Khel route. Kapurthala route will be used but two wheelers and cars etc. coming from Kapurthala side via Basti Bawa Khel will use Kapurthala Chonk via Workshop Chonk-Maksudan Chonk-National Highway route.
All the devotees and general public are requested not to use the prohibited routes during the annual Jodh mela from Feb 22 to Feb 25 in view of Shobha yatra on Feb 23. Diverted routes should be used to minimise traffic jams.
