A matter of shame to humanity has come to the fore in Vading village of Jalandhar Cantt, Punjab. A stepmother took the daughter out of the house on her scooter with her. On the Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway, under the Chahedu bridge, the mother tied both the hands and feet of an 11-year-old girl and hits on her head with a stick several times. When the girl fainted, she left her thinking that she was dead, but fortunately, the daughter survived.
Police officials said that a passerby was passing under the bridge. He saw a girl there with hands and feet tied. He saw that the girl was breathing. The passerby opened her hands and feet and the bandage tied on the girl's mouth. The girl was then given water, but she was already unconscious. After some time she regained consciousness and told the whole story to the passerby.
The locals gathered immediately when the passerby informed them of the situation. People contacted the police right away. The police of Police Station Cantt have taken the girl with them. The mother was detained by the police as they took action, the girl said.
