The elections for the most prestigious and exclusive club in Jalandhar are just around the corner with the Progressive and Achievers group are fighting tooth and nail for supremacy. Achievers group’s Tarun Sikka, who is contesting for the post of Hon. Secretary, shared his vision for the club in an exclusive address to True Scoop.
Tarun Sikka had shared his ambitious vision for the prestigious club that will allow Jalandhar Gymkhana to reach new heights. He pointed out that out of nearly 4,500 members of the club, only 600 to 700 members use the facilities of the club. The Achievers have looked closely at the possible reasons for this, and aim to address them promptly.
He lauded the great sporting facilities of the club while pointing the potential areas of growth, particularly in the food quality and services. He pointed out that out 3 restaurants under the club, 2 had been closed while only 1 was still business. He believes that this was caused by lapse in their vision which fully promises to address during his upcoming tenure. He also wishes for a more valuable integration and implementation of the ideas of the younger generation of the club’s members.
Tarun Sikka had been the Hon. Secretary after securing the victory in the elections before last. Under his leadership, the club had thrived into progress and had subsequently earned him the good graces of the esteemed members of the elite Jalandhar Gymkhana Club. In this year’s elections, Mr. Tarun Sikka has garnered the support of many more members than his rival, Kuki Behl of the Progressive group.
