1. Hans Raj Hans

Hans Raj Hans is an Indian singer who later became a politician. He is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and a recipient of the civilian honour of Padma Shri. Hans Raj Hans was born in the village of Shafipur, near to Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Hans did his graduation from DAV College, Jalandhar.

2. Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh is an Indian politician nominated in Rajya Sabha by Aam Aadmi Party. He is a former Indian cricketer and cricket commentator who played for the Indian national cricket team. Bhajji was born and brought up in Jalandhar, Punjab. Singh was conferred the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, in 2009. He retired from all cricket in December 2021.

3. Ashok Mittal

Ashok Mittal, a law graduate, is the Founder Chancellor Lovely Professional University (LPU). Lovely Professional University is amongst one of the largest single-campus university in India with more than 30,000 on-campus students from across all the states of India and 50 countries. He has achieved laurels not only for LPU and himself but also for the State of Punjab.


4. Santokh Singh Chaudhary

Santokh Singh Chaudhary is an Indian politician and Minister. He was born on 18 June 1946 to Master Gurbanta Singh and Sampuran Kaur at Jalandhar, Punjab. He belongs to a Dalit family and is from one of the biggest political clans of Punjab. He did schooling from D.A.V. Higher Sec. School, Chandigarh; B.A. from D.A.V. College, Jalandhar and LLB from Punjab University.

5. Anurag Thakur

Anurag Singh Thakur is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party and a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. He has done his bachelors B.A. degree from Doaba College, Jalandhar, Punjab. He has his family business in Jalandhar. His father was a lecturer in Doaba College Jalandhar. On January 19, 2019 he became the first Member of Parliament from Bharatiya Janata Party to be awarded the Sansad Ratna Award, an award established in 2010 by private organisations for recognizing contributions by parliamentarians.
