Jalandhar MP, DC & CP inaugurate free meal service for people at Civil Hospital

They say it would be helpful in providing nutritious meal to the people

In a major reprieve to the needy and underprivileged people visiting the local civil hospital for treatment, Member Parliament Sushil Kumar Rinku, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma on Thursday inaugurated free meal service inside hospital premises.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the MP said that the service would help a number of needy people to have nutritious meals. They mentioned that the Om Asha Charitable Trust would render this service free of cost during which free meals would be provided to the people.

 

He also expresses their satisfaction on the quality of meals being provided here. They stated that the service would be available free of cost to the people during the entire week. Not only the patients, but anyone could eat the meal at free of cost here. He also informed that the nutrient-rich food would be provided to the visitors daily without any sort of hurdle.

 

Deputy commissioner said that the administration has signed an MOU with the NGO under this initiative and lauded the efforts of NGO head Satish Jain, owner of Haveli Group, for this cause.

 

Pointing out further, the DC urged the NGOs to come forward for such noble cause to serve the poor and underprivileged sections of society.

 

On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh, SDM Dr. Jai Inder Singh, Balbir Raj Singh, and others were also present.
