Shocking video has surfaced of Jalandhar from Diwali night. The video is from a rural area of Goraya. Reportedly, an incident took place in the Dana Mandi where a ruckus was created by a liquor contractor and his accomplices. The accused were also seen pushing and threatening the policemen who were deployed on duty in that particular area.
Sources reveal that the incident took place late on Diwali night. While the policemen deployed on the duty were taking rounds, they saw a huge crowd gathered in front of a liquor vend. As it was already time to close the shop, the police officers went there and requested the contractor to close his shop. This angered the owner of the shop who then started threatening the officials and also got indulged in a physical fight with them.
As per the information, the liquor contractor shares a healthy relationship with many of the political leaders and has a close association with police personnel. This is the main reason why the video did not come up earlier as the matter is tried to be suppressed by the police itself. Reportedly, various police officers are getting the video deleted from all the channels where it has got uploaded.
In the video, it can be clearly seen that the police have locked the vend from the inside but the owner of the shop and his accomplices are repeatedly trying to open it. Not only this, the accused are continuously abusing and pushing the police personnel and can be heard saying that they have high-level contacts and no one can stop them from doing what they want.
Till now no action has been taken against the accused and if the sources are to be believed the police are themselves trying to pacify the situation.
