Suresh Sehgal, former mayor of Jalandhar,Punjab has surrendered in the court today. It has been 2 and a half months since the incident of physical brawl by Ex Mayor with the building inspector Rukavane who had gone to check the illegal building.
Sehgal had to surrender after his advance bail, after the orders of the Supreme Court. There is now a hearing on bail and the former mayor Suresh Sehgal is negotiating with media personnel before going inside the courthouse.
He said that he has no regrets over his own doing. Further, he said he would accept whatever decision the court would make on his bail.
This case dates back to October 28, 2018. There was an illegal building process going on near the Phagwara gate.
