Jalandhar horror: Minor sisters' murder mystery solved; 'Drunk' father killed & stuffed his 3 daughters in trunk

Residents of Kanpur village of Jalandhar district were left horrified after dead bodies of three minor sisters were found stuffed inside a truck in their house on early Monday morning.

In a horrific incident, three minor girls were found dead and stuffed inside a trunk in their house in Jalandhar's Maqsudan Police Station area early Monday morning. The three minor girls were sisters and were identified as Kanchan (4), Shakti (7) and Amrita (9). The three girls were reported missing Sunday night at Maqsudan Police Station by their parents when they did not find them home after returning from work. As per the information received, the father of the minor girl named Sunil Mandal started screaming and making noise at his home on Sunday night when he could not find his daughters, As a result, Police arrived at the spot and filed a missing report. However, the landlord Surendra Singh had expressed his fear that the girls' father might have killed them. Not only this, but the father of the girls had recently received an ultimatum from his landlord to vacate the house over his drinking habit.

At the night the Police went back to start their investigation, and the next morning, Sunil Mandal's daughters were found dead. Not only this but their bodies were found stuffed inside a trunk in his house. As a result, the Police arrested Sunil Mandal.

'Father Sunil Mandal confesses to killing his three daughters, says report

As per reports, cops in the known development were quoted saying that Sunil Mandal confessed to his crime during interrogation in police custody and said that he was fed up with poverty and lack of money. As a result, he killed his daughters Amrita Kumari, 9, Kanchan Kumari, 7, and Vasu, 3. However, Sunil Mandal himself is a drug addict and often remains under the influence of alcohol. Sunil Mandal has 5 children. It is pertinent to mention here that no marks of assault were found on the bodies of the three real sisters. As of now the post-mortem report of the three deceased sisters is awaited.

Kartarpur DSP Balbir Singh says, "Three sisters found dead in the trunk of the house. We got the information from Kanpur village about the missing of three sisters around 11 at night... The family is from Bihar and they are migrant labourers... Yesterday their parents went to work when they returned home their three children were missing. Police went to the spot and investigated the whole night. Today in the morning our Sub Inspector went on the spot again. He found the bodies in the trunk... Further investigation underway"

Landlord's account

Speaking about the incident, the landlord of the property, Surendra Singh, disclosed that the girls' father had raised concerns late last night about their father going missing. However, after a police visit and inquiry, no further action was taken. It now appears that the girls' father may have been attempting to conceal his involvement in the tragic events.

Local residents expressed their doubts, revealing that the girls' father had fabricated a story of his own disappearance in an attempt to divert attention from the horrifying events that unfolded. The situation has left the community in shock and distress.
