In a horrific development, a female model hailing from Jalandhar was raped in a hotel in Shimla on December 22, 2023. As per reports, the Jalandhar model has filed an FIR in the New Shimla Mahila Police Station. In her FIR, the model has accused Jagtar Singh Sandhu of Ludhiana of forcibly having physical relationship with her.
As a result, Jagtar Singh has been booked under various charges. The police have registered a case under rape sections and started further action. In the complaint given to the police, the victim said that she had come to Shimla on December 22 for shooting and stayed in a hotel in Shimla at night. During this time, Jagtar Singh raped her. The 23-year-old victim model lodged a complaint at the New Shimla Mahila Police Station on Wednesday.
SHO Mahila Police Station Jyoti was quoted saying that the police have registered a case on the complaint of the woman. The woman is being given medical treatment and the police team will soon go to Punjab to arrest the accused.
