Aam Aadmi Party's lone Lok Sabha MP Sushil Rinku on Friday literally chained himself in order to express his protest against the 'caged democracy' outside the parliament in New Delhi. Sushil Rinku who was suspended from the Lok Sabha for the rest of the Monsoon Session 2023 after he tore down a piece of paper in front of the chair in protest of the Delhi Services Bill tabled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah chained himself and chanted 'Aazad Karo Aazad Karo Loktantra Ko Aazad Karo' (Free the democracy). Notably, Sushil Rinku is among the many MPs who have been suspended from the parliament for the Monsoon Session apart from Sanjay Jha, Raghav Chadha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and more.

Interestingly, Sushil Rinku opted for a yellow-coloured turban just like Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh and roamed outside the parliament chanting his demand to free the democracy against the Modi government. Sushil Rinku went protested in front of the statue of Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, and raised slogans against the central government. Notably, when Sushil Rinku was protesting against the Central Government, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi & Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge met the Jalandhar MP. Impressed by his unique protest, Rahul Gandhi shook hands with Sushil Rinku.

Reportedly, Sushil Rinku stated that the central government has kept the constitutional law of the country in the chains of slavery. There is such a government in the country which neither believes in the constitution nor believes in the supreme judicial system of the country. Ignoring the decision of the Supreme Court, the government is working arbitrarily by hanging all its rules and laws.
