In the latest development, Jalandhar Rural Police has filed a complaint against Dera Sacha Sauda Mukhi Gurmeet Ram Rahim over derogatory remarks on Guru Ravidas Ji and Kabir Das Ji. A video has gone viral of Gurmeet Ram Rahim allegedly comparing Ravi Das Ji and Kabir Das Maharaj Ji to alcoholic people. A complaint was lodged against the same by Jassi Tallan, head of Ravidas Tiger Force and after preliminary investigation, a case was registered under 295A.
Reportedly, on February 5, Gurmeet Ram Rahim during his Satsang made derogatory remarks on Guru Ravidas & Kabir Das Ji. Later, a video of same was posted on his YouTube channel which sparked row. As soon as the video went viral, various legal advisors said that this purely can hurt religious sentiments of people. After carrying out proper investigation, Jalandhar Rural Police on 7th March 2023 registered a case against Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
