In a significant development under the state-wide anti-drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh,” Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has achieved a decisive breakthrough within just 7 Days. Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to uproot the scourge of drug menace, the Jalandhar Police registered 41 FIRs, apprehended 50 individuals involved in drug trafficking and 1 Proclaimed Offender who was wanted in NDPS Case, delivering a strong and clear message to those operating in the illegal drug trade: there will be no refuge.

Divulging the details, Commissioner of Police Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur said that the Jalandhar Police continues to intensify its efforts in the war against narcotics. Multiple coordinated operations across various police stations under the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate Jalandhar led to the recovery of a significant cache of drugs and illegal weapons. The seized items include:

•    638 grams of Heroin
•    1.05 kilograms of Ganja (Cannabis)
•    397 Intoxicant Tablets
•    3 Silver Foil Rolls & 3 Lighters
•    2 Pistols (32 bore) along with 10 rounds
•    2 Two-Wheelers suspected to be used for drug trafficking

She also highlighted that the Jalandhar Police is equally committed to the recovery and rehabilitation of drug addicts. As part of this initiative, 25 individuals battling addiction were recently admitted to de-addiction centers at Civil Hospital and PIMS Hospital. CP Jalandhar, emphasized that both the arrests and rehabilitation efforts represent significant strides in the mission to eradicate drug abuse from society."Each arrest and seizure brings us closer to a drug-free society," she affirmed.
