Jalandhar, February 4- The Additional Deputy Commissioner(Development) Vishesh Sarangal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General)Jasbir Singh on Thursday received Covid vaccine in the session site at ShaheedBabu Labh Singh Civil Hospital.
Accompanied by Medical Superintendent Dr Parminder Kaur,District Immunization officer Dr Rakesh, both Additional Deputy Commissioner(Development) Vishesh Sarangal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) JasbirSingh followed the mandatory protocol by sitting in the observation room forhalf an hour.
Later, they resumed their office after completing allformalities required following the vaccination.
They said that they are feeling totally fine and appealed topeople to beware of rumours regarding the vaccination drive. They said that thevaccine is completely safe and effective and all registered frontline warriorscome forward for the vaccination.
They said that today, as many as 412 frontline warriorsincluding 51 health workers have been inoculated.
They said that keeping because of the massive response tothe vaccination drive, the district administration has also increased sessionsites from six to eight for a smooth and hassle-free drive. The session siteshave been set up at Civil Hospital, SDH Phillaur, CHCs Adampur, Kala Bakra,Basti Guzan, PAP, and PHC Jamsher Khas.
They added that as the drive goes ahead, the employees ofrevenue and other departments would be vaccinated as per the schedule.
