Income Tax Department has raided The Ghanshyam Sweets in Jalandhar after its raid at the Amritsar's famous Bansal Sweets shop . Ghanshyam Sweets is also said to be a branch of Bansal Sweets. The shop is located in New Jawahar Nagar.
The team that raided the shop late on Friday evening is said to have come from Amritsar. The investigation continued till late at night. Those who were inside the shop were not allowed to go out and people from outside were not allowed to enter.
Till late night, the Income Tax Department officials checked the records of the shop. The Department’s officials also questioned the staff working in the shop.

It is learned that on the basis of inputs received from Bansal Sweets, the Department’s team has come to Jalandhar and raided the sweet shop.

Recently, Amritsar's Income Tax Department team raided Bansal Sweets. During the raid, the staff and the owner were questioned. The officers had also taken some records with them.
