With no single case reported on Friday, Jalandhar records 14 fresh positive cases of coronavirus on June 27. Reportedly, a major chunk of the cases has been reported from village Lamma, Arjun Nagar, Gobind Nagar, New Deol Nagar, Pucca Bagh, New Hardayal Nagar, Dashmesh Nagar, Pachranga Bhogpur. This time, however, two children have also fallen prey to the contagious disease.
With this, Jalandhar's total count of cases now stands at 690. So far, district health authorities have tested 21,811 people out of which 19,460 have reported negative.
362 patients have been discharged from the hospital while 19 have succumbed to the infection.
On Thursday, 25 new cases were reported in the district from GTB Nagar, Bundela, Bhargav Camp, Sarabha Nagar, Raja Garden, Shahkot, and Avtar Nagar.
