Jalandhar Republic Day Traffic Plan: Check closed & diverted routes to beat the traffic on Jan 26

India on Sunday will celebrate its 76th Republic Day and yet again the nation will salute the constitution. While January 26 is a National holiday in India to mark the occasion of Republic Day, people often go outside to spend their holiday along with their friends and families. However, to ensure law and order along with security, Police administration in almost every state of India issue a certain guideline. Similarly, Jalandhar's Republic Day 2025 traffic plan has been issued and people are advised to follow it in order to beat the traffic. 

Preparations are in full swing for the Republic Day celebrations slated to take place at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in the city on 26th January. Therefore, the police have also announced Jalandhar Republic Day 2025 diverted routes due to the arrival of VIPs. Commissionerate Jalandhar has diverted the routes for passenger buses and vehicles coming to and going from Bus Stand Jalandhar. Apart from this, parking arrangements for cars, buses, and two-wheelers of the spectators arriving at the stadium have also been made.

Diversion Point

To go to Nakodar-Moga side from Samra Chowk.

• Entry of heavy vehicles from T-Point Nakodar Road towards Milkbar Chowk closed.
• Coming from Nakodar Chowk towards Guru Nanak Mission Chowk prohibited.
• T-Point A.P.J. Movement from College towards Chun-Mann Chowk prohibited.
• Movement of heavy vehicles from Masand Chowk towards Milkbar Chowk is prohibited.
• Movement from Geeta Mandir Traffic Signal Lights towards City Chun-Mann Chowk prohibited.
• Mod Pratappura Nakdar Road to C.T. Institute-Urban Estate-Cool Road-Samra Chowk.

Diverted Traffic

• Buses/heavy vehicles going to and from Kapurthala from Jalandhar Bus Stand/City will use the P.A.P Chowk- Kartarpur route from 07:00 am to 02:00 pm.
• Similarly, light vehicles going to and from Nakodar-Shahkot from Jalandhar Bus Stand/City will use Bus Stand-Samra Chowk-Cool Road-Traffic Signal Lights Urban Estate Phase-2,
• C.T. The institute will use the route via village Pratappura and movement via Wadala Chowk
• Ravidas Chowk route will be completely prohibited.
