Jalandhar: Robbers looted Rs 10 lakh from an oil trader outside Geeta temple

Robbers snatched a bag full of Rs 10 lakh from an oil dealer in Central Town and fled.

In an incident that took place outside Central town’s Geeta Temple, robbers snatched a bag full of Rs 10 lakh from an oil dealer and fled. The oil trader was going to hand over Rs 10 Lakh to someone.  A total of three youths carried out the incident, including two on motorcycles and one on foot.

As soon as the incident was reported, senior police officials rushed to the spot and started investigating the matter. Disclosing this, DCP Jagmohan Singh said that information was received from the control room that a bag worth Rs. 10,00,000 was snatched from a person near Central Town Geeta Mandir.

It was learned on the spot that Ashwani Mata was an oil trader who had come to give money to someone. When he took out the bag, a young man snatched the bag from him and fled. They were three young men, two on motorcycles and one on foot.
