In Jalandhar, the activities of the miscreant elements are so high that they have no fear of the police. On the night of Diwali, near the City Railway Station of Jalandhar, some youths in a liquor shop beat up the workers and robbed the expensive liquor bottles and cash. During the incident, PCR personnel were also present on the spot, but despite this, they escaped. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop.

Ashok Kumar Sharma, the manager of the liquor shop said that some youths had come to take liquor at night and when he told them to give money first, they started quarreling on this matter. Then they started beating them. Due to this, he closed the shutter of the shop but they broke the grill outside.

At least 15 to 20 youths were present during the incident. According to Ashok Kumar Sharma, they robbed all the cash of around more than one and a half lakhs.

ACP North Daman Veer Singh said that the information about the incident was received while the PCR team was patrolling at night, after which the team reached the spot and the police are investigating the matter. Youths are visible in CCTV footage and they will be arrested.
