As per the developments in the joint operation that was being carried out by Delhi and Punjab Police, 4-5 gangsters are now in the custody of the police forces. The search operation started at 8 am in the morning and went on for around 7 hours.
The video released by SSP Jalandhar Rural, SwaranDeep Singh, it has been learnt that as soon as the police received information of gangsters hiding in Bhogpur, a joint search operation was launched by Delhi and Punjab Police. He further added that gangsters fired 3 rounds and in response to it 2 rounds of firing were done by police as well.
As per his statement, 5 gangsters were arrested while search for 1 is still going on. All the arrested gangsters are from Jalandhar and Amritsar. It was also revealed that small automatic weapons were also recovered from them.
Reportedly, the police received information about armed suspects hiding in the village late at night. A heavy police force was deployed in the village this morning and the whole area was being searched and surveillance was also being done with drones. The police blocked roads not only in the village but also outside it. People coming to the village were also being interrogated.
