From Bollywood celebrities to a layman, many people have died by suicide amidst the coronavirus pandemic. In another such instance, Jalandhar's famous 'share broker' Manoj Sarna has died by suicide.
It has been learned that Manoj Sarna was not in touch with his family since yesterday afternoon. When the family tried to find him, they found Sarna at his office situated on Link Road. On reaching the spot, the family observed that Sarna had hanged himself lately.
The family members hurriedly took down Sarna's body but he was dead by then.

On receiving the information, ACP Model Town Harinder Singh Gill rushed to the spot with the police party and started the investigation. Based on the family's statements, the police have taken action under section 174. Manoj Sarna was a share broker with a calm disposition and belonged to distinguished family background. His elder brother Dinesh Sarna is a well-known income tax lawyer. Manoj Sarna was one of the largest share brokers in the city and many of the city's bigwigs traded through him.
