Jalandhar teachers who contributed in developing ‘Punjab Educare App’ honoured by Aruna Chaudhary on R-Day function

The "Punjab Educare App" has contents like syllabus , text books in pdf form, video lectures, worksheets, assignments, quizzes, "Ajj da Shabad", " Udaan sheets" etc.

A team of dedicated government school teachers of Jalandhar district,  who have been  instrumental in developing Digital School Bag - "Punjab Educare App" , to give a fillip to online education under the "Ghar Baithe Sikhiya" programme launched by the Punjab education department during the lockdown period in wake of pandemic COVID-19, were honoured by the cabinet minister, Aruna Chaudhary, during the district level Republic Day function at Jalandhar.

It is worthwhile to mention here that the government school teachers of Jalandhar district - Deepak Kumar (Math Master, GSSS, Nurpur), Jaswinder Singh (Science Master, GMS, Rampur), Harjit Kumar (Science Master, GSSS Boys, Goraya), Haridarshan Singh (Science Master, GHS, Basti Bawa Khel), Chander Shekhar, English Master, GMSSS, Ladowali Road), Omeshwar Narayan (S.St.Master, GHS, Sheikhe Pind), Sharanjit Singh (English Master, GHS, Jalbhe), Dharampal (Math Master, GHS, Patara), who does not have any technical background, but just having an innovative bent of mind coupled with dedicated efforts have evolved " Punjab Educare app", to help both the teachers as well as students to have an easy and hassle free access to study material from pre-primary to 12th classes.

The "Punjab Educare App" has contents like syllabus , text books in pdf form, video lectures, worksheets, assignments, quizzes, "Ajj da Shabad", " Udaan sheets" etc. Besides, it has been proving a boon for the teachers and students to prepare themselves to accomplish " Mission Shat Pratishat' as it has regular updates like  the reduced syllabus, simplified learning material, new structure of question papers, question banks, revision tests etc.

"The 'Punjab Educare App', which was launched by the Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, on July 11, last year, has emerged as a pioneer in digital education apps. So far, it has more than 21 lakh users  and more than 16 crores page views. Its rating is 4.5 out of 5", said Deepak Kumar. 

Moreover, Dr. Gulshan Sharma( Retd. Major), DG-International Chamber of Services Industry(ICSI), during an virtual  address via youtube on January 22, while lavishing  praise on the dedicated team of govt.school teachers, who have developed " Punjab Educare App", have urged the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to recognise the unique innovation of the dedicated teachers for boosting digital education during the COVID-19 era.
