Jalandhar Police on Wednesday released a travel advisory ahead of Independence Day Celebrations. Jalandhar Traffic Advisory was issued for the public so that they can travel hassle-free and skip certain routes if they are traveling on August 15, 2024. India on August 15, 2024 will celebrate its 78th Independence Day and therefore, cities and states of India are revising the traffic routes due to security measures. Jalandhar Traffic advisory states that certain routes will be diverted from 7 am to 2 pm on August 15, 2024. Below is a detailed Jalandhar Traffic Advisory ahead of I-Day Celebrations-
- No General Vehicles Allowed Near Guru Gobind Singh Stadium Route
- In preparation for Independence Day, Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has implemented route diversions for 15-08-2024.
- From 7 AM to 2 PM, certain routes will be restricted for general vehicles, with diversions in place.
- Key intersections with diversions include Samra Chowk, Geeta Mandir Chowk, Masand Chowk, Red Cross Morh, T Point Khalsa School and Partap Pura Morh.
Specific routes with restricted entry for general vehicles are as follows:
1. Samra Chowk - Chunmun Chowk - Milk Bar Chowk - Red Cross Morh
2. Geeta Mandir Chowk - Chunmun Chowk - T Point APJ College
3. Masand Chowk - Milk Bar Chowk - Guru Nanak Mission Chowk
