Jalandhar’s PAP Chowk blocked after MC’s fire department employees stage protest at NH

In the latest development, the temporary employees of MC’s fire department staged a protest at PAP Chowk, Jalandhar. Reportedly, the locals are advised not to take that route in order to avoid long traffic jams.

As per information, the employees will protest till 3 pm here due to which Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway will be blocked. Police officials are also deployed there to manage the situation.

Reportedly, the employees that have staged protest are the ones employed on temporary basis in the fire department. They are demanding that government should consider making them permanent. They have further added that temporary employees should get first preference in the vacancies rolled out by Municipal Corporation for the fire department.
