At least 2 suspected militants killed in Pulwama gunfight

Internet services were suspended in Pulwama as well as in nearby Shopian

On early Friday morning, at least two militans were killed in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports,  gunfight broke out in Drabgam village in south Kashmir between the suspected militants and security forces after a five hour seige. 

At around 8 pm on Thurday, teams from the Army, the Central Reserve Police Force and the police's Special Operation Group cordoned off Baba Mohalla based on a warning that was issued.

The militants had reortedly opened fire as the security forces zeroed-in on their locations which lead to gunfight. While the police via micro-blogging site Twitter, confirmed that two militants have died. However the identities and affliation have not yet been ascertained.

According to to the reports, internet services were suspended in Pulwama as well as in nearby Shopian.
