Japan hit by massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake; Tsunami waves observed in viral video

As per the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck near the West Coast of Japan triggering Tsunami warnings.

In a massive development, Japan on Monday was hit by a massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Japan Earthquake came on January 1 i.e. on New Year and it indeed induced fear in every Japanese people. In fact, netizens took to their social media and shared videos of Tsunami waves that were observed after the massive earthquake. As per the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck near West Coast of Japan. 

 

A user wrote, "Video of the earthquake that just hit Japan: The person who uploaded this video said they are in the area of Ishikawa that was strongest hit by today's earthquake."

 

 

Another user wrote, "Tsunami waves are already travelling up waterways in Ishikawa prefecture, with others expected to follow soon. Please evacuate now! "

 

"A massive earthquake has struck Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan. A tsunami warning has been issued for Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa prefectures of the Japan Sea side of the country. People in these area must evacuate immediately," wrote another user.
