In the Thanamandi area of the Rajouri sector, a terrorist assault on two military vehicles led to the deaths of three Army personnel and injuries to three others. The targeted troops were en route to provide reinforcement for an ongoing anti-terror operation since last evening. In response, Indian Army forces promptly engaged the attackers. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the 48 Rashtriya Rifles, according to the Army officials.
The attack took place in the Savni area along the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road at approximately 3:30 PM. The vehicles were transporting soldiers from an area near Bufliaz. The terrorists opened fire on the vehicles, a truck and a Gypsy, resulting in the injury of at least three soldiers and the death of three others, according to officials.
