The Bollywood film industry has been subjected to a lot of criticism ever since the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. The Hindi film industry's image has been in question and it has been slammed for its connection with the underworld, ISI, and drugs cartel.

Ravi Kishan on Monday in Lok Sabha raised the issue of drugs and its connection in the film industry that is ultimately ruining the youths of India. Ravi in his speech in Lok Sabha said that the problem of drug trafficking/addiction is on a rise. Conspiracy is being hatched to destroy the country's youth, our neighboring countries are contributing. Smuggling of drugs from Pakistan and China is done every yr - it is brought via Punjab and Nepal.

Drug addiction is in the film industry too. Several people have been apprehended, NCB is doing very good work. I urge the central govt to take strict action, apprehend the culprits soon, give them befitting punishment & bring an end to the conspiracy of neighboring countries.

Now veteran actress and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday came down heavily upon BJP MP and actor-politician Ravi Kishan over his "drug addiction in the film industry" remarks in Parliament. Jaya gave a Zero Hour notice to discuss the issue of the film industry being defamed.

In her speech, Jaya said that the Entertainment industry in our country provides direct employment to 5 lakhs, people, every day, and indirect employment to 5 million people. At a time when the financial condition of the country is in a depressing phase, in order to divert the attention of the people we are being used to be flogged by the social media and the government's non-support.

In a veiled attack on Kangana Ranaut Jaya said that people who have made their names in the film industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree and disassociate from it and I hope the government tells these who have made their earning, name, and fame in the industry to stop using such language. There are people in the industry who are some highest taxpayers, they are still being harassed, all kinds of promises are being made to the film industry that has never been kept.

Jaya went on to say that the government should stand by the entertainment industry as the industry has always supported the industry whenever any natural calamity takes place. Whatever good deed the government do, they come to support them, speak for them, and donate their money.

Jaya concluded her speech by saying just because there are some people, you can't tarnish the image of the entire industry. I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it. It is a shame
