‘Jehanabad-of Love and War’ the super thrilling web series has got its release date. The political thriller web series by Sudhir Mishra whose trailer was released by the makers last week, provided us with a great backdrop of how interesting deal watching the show is going to be.

The trailer has set a serious tone for the upcoming series. Jehanabad-of love and war will start streaming on SonyLiv from 3rd February.

Describing the series’ plot, which is set in Jehanabad of Bihar, which happens to be a small municipality, the show explores the consequential issues that emerged from a long and brutal history of Naxalism and Caste inequalities.

In the central theme of the story, viewers will get to see the love story of a progressive professor and his student. Their dreams of marrying each other are caught in the massive outbreak of conflict between Naxalites and police forces. The show goes deep into the issue of torturous caste discrimination and the reactionaries planning a jailbreak for their leader.

The viewers will also get to see a greedy MLA in the centre of the entire plot who is trying to clock on Dalit voters at all costs. The incident of entire story is inspired by the infamous Jehanabad Jailbreak in 2005, where a total of 372 inmates fled from the prison in a well-planned attempt.

Among the cast of the movie Ritwik Bhowik will be playing the lead professor, while Harshita Gaur will be seen as the student who will be playing his lovestruck student.

Parambrata Chattopadhyay will be seen in the role of the Naxalite chief, whose reactionary forces are conspiring a jailbreak for him. Besides these, Satyadeep Mishra, Suneel Sinha, Rajesh Jais, Rajat Kapoor, and Sonal Jha will also be seen in the series.

The typical Bihar politics and background events that follow on display is created, written, and directed by Rajiv Barnwal. Based on the showrunner Sudhir Mishra, the show will combine all shades of romance, betrayal, crime, thrill, and suspense.
