"Mumbai is the centre of ‘organised crime & drug trafficking’ in India": JNU Professor Anand Ranganathan

Ever since the drugs angle has emerged in Sushant Singh Rajput's case, entire India has gone in shock. In what spells more trouble for Rhea Chakraborty, girlfriend of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday registered an NDPS case against her and two others on the basis of an ED request to probe the drug angle in the death case.

Now, JNU Professor and columnist Anand Ranganathan during a discussion with a news channel reiterated his point of involvement of a prominent politician in Sushant Singh Rajput's case. Anand said that all these are completely deliberate. The drugs angle provides the strongest possible motive and it must be investigated to the fullest extent. Anand said that the cynic in him is not very optimistic that it is achievable. Mumbai is the centre of ‘organised crime & drug trafficking’ in India and it is inconceivable that politicians do not control it.

It was illegally trafficked from Belgium.

Anand added that a man from Mumbai was arrested for buying MDMC online from Germany. In another incident, a man was arrested in Mumbai in 2018 with a huge consignment of drugs and it was revealed that he had connections with Dawood Ibrahim. 

Anand also slammed Tehsin Poonawala for saying that no one sell or buys drugs on WhatsApp. Anand gave many instances when people selled and bought drugs on WhatsApp.

Now the NCB has entered the probe soon the inquiry in the drugs angle will start.
