In a heartbreaking development,  Home and Away fame actor Johnny Ruffo died at the age of 35. Johnny Ruffo breathed his last at a Sydney hospital in Australia. Johnny Ruffo was best known for portraying the character of  Chris Harrington on Home And Away. As per reports, Johnny Ruffo's girlfriend Tahnee Sims was with him when he died in the Sydney hospital. As per reports, Johnny Ruffo died after a long battle with brain cancer. As per Australian media reports, Johnny Ruffo rose to fame for portraying the character of  Chris Harrington in popular Australian soap Home And Away in 2013, two years after appearing in the final of X Factor Australia.

 

 

Russo's family penned an emotional note for his fans. They wrote, "It is with a heavy heart that today we had to farewell our beloved Johnny. Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and family, Johnny went peacefully with the support of some incredible Nurses & Doctors.

 

 

He was a very talented, charming and sometimes cheeky boy. Johnny was very determined and had a strong will. He battled all the way to the end and fought as hard as he could. Such a beautiful soul with so much more to give. We all love you Johnny and will remember you for all the joy you brought to our lives."

 

For the unversed, in August 2017, the 35-year-old actor announced that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer and was starting 'aggressive treatment'. Reportedly Russo entered remission after surgery, however, the cancer returned in 2021.
