The release of Joker took the whole world on a ride and the film has gone on to become one of the highest-grossing movies worldwide. Latest box office figures say that Joker might just become the highest-grossing R-rated film ever.

One scene from the Joker that has been shared widely, to the point of becoming the latest meme online, is the famous stairs scene where Joaquin Phoenix comes dancing down after having completely transformed. That staircase, where Arthur Fleck (Phoenix's character) breaks into his devilish dance, is now turning out to be a famous tourist spot in New York City.

People have identified the location from the scene and are now visiting the spot, with some of them recreating Joker's steps on it.

These stairs in New York City connect the Shakespeare and Anderson Avenues at West 167th Street in the Bronx. Even though the stairs have been around for years and lead to some of the most famous spots in New York, like the Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical Garden, they were never really popular because of their association with a crime in the area.
