Beijing: As Juice is getting older, his trainer has only one wish for the mutt that ‘his mongrel lives on’. For the fulfilment of his wish He Jun, Juice trainer went to   Sinogene, China's first biotech company to provide pet cloning services.

Skin samples were collected from the dog's lower abdomen. Within weeks Sinogene was able to isolate his DNA and fertilise an egg. The egg was then inserted into the uterus of the surrogate mother, in this case a beagle.

“Little Juice” ("Zhizhi" in Chinese), the copy of Juice was gifted to He Jun at an event where Juice was also present. He has not committed Little Juice to show business as yet. However, He sees a lot of potential.
