The sixth month of the year - June, is about to start, and one of the things that we look at as a month starts is the holidays. According to the holiday list released by the government of Punjab and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the state may witness around four government holidays, apart from Saturdays and Sundays.
The List of Holidays -
According to the list shared by the government of Punjab, the public holidays will be marked on the following days -

Along with these, each employee will also be permitted to avail of two (2) holidays per year to be chosen out of the Restricted Holidays below during the Calendar year 2025, which are as follows -

Death Anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji
Apart from this, across the nation, the banks will remain closed for 12 days. The state-wise list is as follows -
June 6, 2025 - Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid)
The holiday will be marked in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.
June 7, 2025 - Bakrid (Eid-Uz-Zuha)
The holiday will be marked in the majority of the states including Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad – Telangana, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar.
June 11, 2025 - Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti
According to the official calendar, the holidays will be marked in Gangtok and Shimla.
June 27, 2025 - Rathyatra or Kang Rathajatra
Holidays will be marked in Bhubaneswar and Imphal to mark this day.
June 30, 2025 - Remna Ni
Aizwal will witness a bank holiday on Monday, June 30.
Second and Fourth Saturdays - June 14 and June 28.
Sundays - June 01, June 08, June 15, June 22 and June 29.
