A Kabaddi player named Harvinder Singh Bindri on Monday was shot inside his house in Moga by two unidentified men. Harvinder Singh Bindri was reportedly hit by bullets twice and currently fighting for his life. The incident took place in Nihal Singh Wala and two unidentified miscreants reportedly came on the bike to shoot Harvinder Singh Bindri. 

 

As per reports, Harvidner Singh Bindri is a resident of village Dhudkot Ran Singh. He was made the candidate for the post of Sarpanch of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from the village. As per the initial reports, this incident happened at around 7 in the morning. Reportedly, the two miscreants on a bike entered the Kabaddi player's house on the pretext of seeing pigeons. After entering the house, the shooters opened fire on Bindri and fled from the spot. 

 

Bindri was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment from where he was referred to Ludhiana. 

 

It is pertinent to mention here that a few months back, a local Congress leader was shot dead at his residence in Punjab’s Moga district. Some unknown assailants barged into the house of the local leader, identified as Baljinder Singh Balli, and opened fire. The incident took place in Dala village. Later, Canada-based gangster Arsh Dalla took responsibility for the murder in a detailed Facebook post.
