Days after the Jahangirpuri Violence, a massive encroachment drive took place on Wednesday where the Shobha Yatra was attacked by a mob on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. Jahangirpuri encroachment drive took place on the direction of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). As soon as the Jahangirpuri encroachment drive commenced after 12:30 pm on Wednesday, Times Now senior journalist Navika Kumar took a dig over the incident Following this, a section of people vented their aggression towards her and soon #Kachra started trending. 

Times Now journalist Navika Kumar on Wednesday took to her Twitter handle and took a dig at the Jahangirpuri encroachment drive and kept Bulldozers under focus. "Dramatic increase in demand for bulldozers. Are we increasing domestic capacity for manufacturing or will we have to depend on imports??"

 Interestingly, Navika Kumar's opponent Republic TV Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami also started trending and people started hailing him over his 'Kachra' remark which he allegedly made in his leaked WhatsApp chats.

Those who are still wondering why the Jahangirpuri encroachment drive sparked a massive row can read further. The Jahangirpuri area in northwest Delhi witnessed violent communal clashes that erupted between two groups of people, belonging to different communities, during a Shobha Yatra procession on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on April 16. Following that the AAP and various political parties accused the BJP of using the Municipal corporation to target a particular community over the Jahangirpuri violence.
